The waste recycling plant on Plastova Street in Lviv is 80% complete. It is planned to be launched by the end of this year.
This was stated by Mayor Andriy Sadovyi in a video on the YouTube channel of the Lviv City Council.
The building of the future plant is currently under construction, with some rooms lacking a roof or floor. The construction is scheduled to be completed in June and the equipment, which has already been partially delivered, will be installed.
“45% of the equipment has already been delivered. The equipment has already been manufactured. Our experts have seen it physically in Turkey. Gradually, it will be brought here. As soon as the physical work on the site is completed, they will start assembling the equipment. And this year the plant should start operating. This should be the first plant in Ukraine,” said Andriy Sadovyi.
The mayor expressed hope that the plant will be launched this year. He and officials of the Lviv municipal enterprise Green City, which is responsible for the implementation of this project, emphasized that they had taken all steps in their power to complete the project on time, but they had complaints about the pace of the contractor's work.
Now they have already brought it to the site:
- scrubbers for air purification;
- fans for bio drying chambers;
- aeration equipment for plant chambers;
- conveyor lines of the mechanical part of the plant;
- Equipment for the air dusting system.
