The collected garbage was sent for recycling

In Brovary, in the Kyiv region, local residents conducted a clean-up of the forest along Melnyka Street, during which they found 3 old TVs, 150 rubber tires and 40 bags of other garbage.

Bohdana Drach, a deputy of the Brovary City Council, who joined the cleanup, shamed the townspeople for such finds in the forest, Brovarymedia reports on Facebook.

The material said that about 50 people joined the action, a third of whom were children and teenagers, because people came in whole families. It was possible to clear a wide area of the forest from the intersection of Petropavlivska Street to the Central District Hospital.

"Dear brewers, you should be ashamed that we find such things in the forest. This is an old TV. And this is already the third TV excavated on this mountain, Drach said after finding the old TV. - It will be a shame in front of the children who will say that our parents left us this. And then we get sick."

In the material, it was emphasized that in addition to old equipment, alcohol bottles, syringes, construction and household waste were found in the forest. In addition, approximately 150 rubber tires were taken out of the forest.

It is noted that the collected garbage was sorted and handed over to "Vtorma.YUA" LLC for processing.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Kharkiv Oblast, on the banks of the Uda River, eco-activists discovered a new spontaneous landfill. They have repeatedly held the "Clean Udy" campaign, but residents of the village of Babai continue to throw garbage near the river.
