2 communities are already growing energy crops on their territories, and 2 more are preparing for the implementation of such an initiative

In the Rivne region, which is among the top three in terms of energy saving, in 2022 they plan to reduce the use of fuel by another 10%.

This can be achieved thanks to the strengthening of energy-saving measures and the transition to green energy, reports the head of the Rivne Regional Military Administration Vitaly Koval on his Telegram-channel.

He said that in the Rivne region, the pilot project to implement the energy monitoring program in budget institutions continues. It helps to analyze the consumption of energy carriers and save up to 10% of their cost, that is, about 30 million hryvnias.

In addition, during the last three months, the share of use of alternative fuels increased by 5.2%. And the total percentage of capacities for the production of such heat energy in the region reaches 25.2%.

"Almost 1,000 households in the Rivne region switched to green energy. This year alone – 113 families," Koval said.

He also emphasized that the Klevansk and Kanonytsk communities grow energy crops on their territories, and 2 more communities are preparing for the implementation of such an initiative.

"I call on all residents of the Rivne region to consider the possibility of switching to alternative types of fuel. This is the right path to energy independence," Koval emphasized.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in the Rivne region from the beginning of 2022 solar power plants 113 families settled for their own needs.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in the city of Rivne, the heat supply company Rivneteploenergo plans to transfer within 5-10 years all their boilers are on biomass.
