Materials on violations were sent to law enforcement agencies

In Ukraine, during the week of May 16-22, environmental inspectors estimated more than 6.2 million hryvnias in environmental damage from poaching and illegal logging and drew up 174 reports on administrative offenses.

The most resonant violation of environmental legislation was recorded in the Kirovohrad region, informs State Ecological Inspectorate Online in the Telegram.

During the week, violators voluntarily and compulsorily paid damages in the amount of 375 thousand hryvnias to the state budget of Ukraine.

Thus, the SEI of the Prydniprovskyi district calculated losses in the amount of UAH 1.76 million for illegal fishing on the Kamyansky reservoir of the Dnieper River. Also in Poltava region on the Kamyansky reservoir near the village of Samusiyivka, Kremenchug district, a fisherman was found who caught 1304 fish with the help of a rubber boat and prohibited fishing gear, which caused losses amounting to more than 2.7 million hryvnias.

Materials on both cases were sent to law enforcement agencies.

In the Kirovohrad region, in the city of Novomyrhorod, illegal felling of 70 trees was detected, which caused damage amounting to more than 1.05 million hryvnias.

The case materials, with signs of a criminal offense, were also sent to law enforcement agencies.

We will remind, for a month of spawning poachers "chopped ”for millions of hryvnias.

As EcoPoliticа reported earlier, Zakarpattia police officers confiscated a truck from illegal wood for the needs of the Armed Forces.
