Astarta Agrocompany has raised its climate rating on the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) platform by increasing energy efficiency and improving its climate risk management performance.

This was reported by the Chairman of the Federation of Employers of Ukraine Dmytro Oliynyk on Facebook.

According to him, the CDP rating upgrade demonstrates Astarta's progress in the global fight against climate change and reflects the team's commitment to effectively manage climate risks and other aspects of environmental sustainability.

"Astarta" has developed a climate corporate management system of the holding, which includes a comprehensive action plan for improving the calculation of greenhouse gas emissions for Scope 1-3, analysis of climate scenarios, identification of physical and transitional climate risks, and a decarbonization strategy. By 2030, we plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions of the company's gases by 44%," Yuliya Bereshchenko, director of sustainable business development and relations with investors of Astarta, reported.

Oliynyk notes that "Astarta" has demonstrated its compliance with high international standards and readiness to meet the growing demand for environmental transparency of the holding from financial institutions, investors, customers and governments of countries.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the global sustainability index directions identified cities of the world that are taking steps towards a sustainable future with minimal carbon emissions into the atmosphere.
