On the very first day of the state program of interest-free lending to individuals for the purchase of energy equipment, Ukrainian banks issued the first soft loans to citizens.
This was reported by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
Thus, a resident of Nizhyn, Chernihiv region, received the first preferential loan of UAH 250 thousand from Oschadbank. In the border region, there are frequent power outages due to shelling of energy infrastructure.
However, GLOBUS BANK issued the first loan for the purchase of a 5.6 kW solar station to a pensioner from Vinnytsia. She borrowed UAH 315 thousand at 0% with a 10-year maturity. The solar station and energy storage equipment will be installed in her private house.
Homeowners can get interest-free loans to purchase equipment and install solar panels with energy storage systems and wind turbines in their own households. The state will fully compensate the interest rate on such loans for 10 years. The loan amount is up to UAH 480,000.
"In communication with banks, we see an active interest in the interest-free lending program. This means that Ukrainians can buy and install solar panels with energy storage systems or wind turbines in their own households with credit funds. At the same time, the interest rate will be at the level of 0%, because the interest is fully covered by the state.
The government is doing everything possible in order to restore energy-generating facilities that were destroyed by massive rocket attacks of the Russian Federation. At the same time, the development of alternative sources of energy generation from the population is also an important contribution to our energy security", – stressed the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko.
As EcoPolitic reported earlier, on June 10 the government approved The procedure for providing financial state support to individuals who install generating units from alternative energy sources in their own households. It provides for lending at 0% for citizens and under the "5-7-9%" program for small and medium-sized businesses.
