A Ukrainian company plans to launch local production of electric trucks for civilian and military use. The vehicles will have payload capacities of 1.5, 4.5, and 8 tons. The company plans to raise $750,000 in investment to implement the project.

This was reported by the investment portal InVenture.

Project details

The machine-building project is being initiated by Eximvat LLC. The company aims to assemble electric vehicles in Ukraine, and the investment funds are needed to launch large-scale assembly.

The plan is to produce universal platforms onto which various body variations can be mounted—dump trucks, cranes, and cargo platforms.

The project team already has orders for 36 vehicles and plans to reach mass production within the first three years—up to 1,000 electric vehicles per year.

The company notes that the new products may be in demand in the agricultural sector, logistics, among municipal services, private businesses, as well as the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service.

Advantages of large electric vehicles

Electric trucks have operating costs that are 2–3 times lower than their counterparts running on diesel. At the same time, such equipment does not produce emissions or cause noise pollution.

An additional factor is the lack of a thermal footprint, which is especially important in the military sector.

EcoPolitic previously reported that beginning in 2026, the electric vehicle market in Ukraine experienced a sharp decline. While in December more than 25,000 new electric vehicles were imported into the country, in February 2026 there were only 135 vehicles.
