The draw will take place on Tuesday, September 20

On September 17, Ukrainians were called to join the World Cleaning Day, which will come under the slogan: "May the sky be peaceful and Ukraine clean!".

On this day, you can carry out digital cleaning, collect garbage near the house, in the park or near water bodies, and take part in the raffle of eco-bags from the Kyiv of the waste management center, reports the Center for Waste Management (CWM) on Facebook.

In 2021, 300,000 Ukrainians joined the campaign to collect more than 1,000 tons of garbage at 4,000 locations.

How to join the initiative?

  • clean the area near your house;
  • organize cleaning near the reservoir, in the park, etc. (if it is safe);
  • clean up at home, in particular, sort waste, take/send it for recycling or disposal;
  • perform digital cleaning in your laptops and smartphones (remove unnecessary information and clean memory);
  • hand over unnecessary things to humanitarian aid;
  • to take part in volunteer trips to analyze debris.

“Any ideas you have that are currently safe in your area are welcome. Share with us in the comments where and what you plan to clean up, or tell us about your way of participating in World Cleanup Day," the message reads.

To take part in the raffle of 2 eco-bags from CWM, you must:

  • subscribe to the center on the Instagram network;
  • like the post;
  • write a comment about participating in World Cleanup Day by 11:59 p.m. on September 19.

The draw will take place on Tuesday, September 20.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the duplicate photos, unnecessary e-mails and other data forgotten in the cloud storage cause CO2 emissions are similar to air transport.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Kyiv, Yapomogabox, which feeds homeless animals in exchange for plastic bottles, will now send 10 kopecks from each collected bottle to help the Armed Forces and the same amount for the United24 program.
