According to the results of thermal modernization, the annual savings are estimated at approximately UAH 481.6 thousand.

In Zhytomyr, Obriy 21 condominium association has successfully completed a grant under the Energodom program. The total amount of the grant is about UAH 4 million.

This was reported by the Energy Efficiency Fund.

"Thanks to the "Energodim" program, we finally got the desired heat in the house, and most importantly – a significant saving in the bill. Compared to neighboring houses, we began to pay half as much. At a comfortable 24 degrees in the apartment, the payment for heat in the apartment did not exceed UAH 800. We everyone is very satisfied and proud of the results of participation in the Program", – said the chairman of the Obriy 21 condominium, Mykola Ustymovych.

The five-story building was reportedly built in 1969 and has 90 apartments and 6 entrances. Residents implemented the following measures:

  1. Complex of works on thermal insulation and finishing of external walls.
  2. Replacement of external doors and installation of vestibules in external entrances.
  3. Replacement of window units and doors on balconies, as well as insulation and glazing of existing balconies and loggias.

It is noted that the total cost of the project is UAH 5.7 million, and the co-owners' contribution exceeds UAH 1.7 million in total.

The average cost of works for each apartment is UAH 327/m².

According to the information, the savings are:

  • Annual savings – 481.6 thousand UAH (381.5 thousand kWh);
  • Reduced energy consumption – 38.6%;
  • Annual reduction of CO2 emissions – 157 tons.

Residents say that it was not easy to implement the project and the biggest difficulties arose from the fact that it was practically impossible to convince people of the need to participate in the "Energodim" program.

"The co-owners did not believe that such a thing was possible, they were afraid of being deceived. The general meetings were constantly interrupted, I myself stopped believing that everything would work out. In addition, the prices of materials and equipment were constantly increasing, and this also had negative consequences for decision-making. Despite everything, we still reached an agreement and completed the project," adds Ustimovych.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in the city of Yuzhne in the Odesa region, the "Myrnyi 26" condominium with participation in the "Energodim" program saved almost 40% on heating, which, according to preliminary calculations, is about UAH 863,000 per year.
