Raw materials must be clean inside and out without paper labels

In Lutsk, HDPE plastic products and containers marked 2 and RR plastic marked 5 began to be accepted for processing.

These are bottles from household chemicals, shampoos, liquid soap, cups from sour cream, buckets, canisters, basins, toys, etc., the "Clean Lutsk" waste management center reports on Facebook.

The message emphasized that products for recycling must be without paper labels, as well as clean inside and out.

"Only in this form will the waste be processed! Otherwise, they will have to be thrown into the general trash," explained the Central Bureau of Statistics.

It is noted that "shrushki", trays for food, packaging from bulk goods are not accepted for recycling.

"5-ku can now be made from yogurt-sour cream. Super! Because before it was not taken in other places either – they said it was thin. Well, now at least sometimes I'll take yogurt to my little one," commented user Valentyna Petruk.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in July in Lutsk at the composting station they grew the third crop of greens and they are preparing to collect the first cucumbers and tomatoes.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, containers for garbage sorting were installed in 10 schools and kindergartens in the Horokhivska community of Volyn.
