The river should be cleaned by the beginning of May 2023

In Lutsk, it is planned to clean the Styr River from sediments and silt, for which about 3.7 million hryvnias will be allocated from the city budget.

The Department of Housing and Communal Services of the Lutsk City Council announced a tender for the second round of river cleaning, and the relevant tenders have already been held on the public procurement platform Prozorro.

The housing and communal services department expects that the works to clean up the Styr River in the area of ​​Hnidavska-Kovelska streets will be completed by April 30, 2023.

3 companies participated in the auction, namely "Lutska DPMK" LLC, "Richtrans Lutsk" LLC and "Volynbudtech" LLC, which became the winner. The company offered the lowest price for the work - 3,600,347.97 hryvnias.

The winner is currently awaiting a decision.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the head of the ecocommission in Yuriy Royko of the Volyn region said that they plan to increase the number of stationary points in the region observation of the state of atmospheric air and expand the list of pollutants subject to monitoring.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, Lutsk opened the first waste management center in the city, where people will be able to sort their waste into 14 fractions.
