A unique machine for accepting plastic has appeared in Kyiv

Yapomogabox turns plastic bottles into aid

In Kyiv, Troeshchyna, Metro supermarket installed the world's first fandom for accepting Yapomogabox plastic bottles made of recycled plastic.

The machine was made from 19,428 caps, wrote Rufat Raimov, the founder and head of the Yapomoga public organization, on Facebook.

"I am very glad that we have learned to give a second life to recycled materials! It was a very long and difficult road. This is just the beginning," said Raimov.

He also announced a line of useful products made from recycled plastic.

Yapomogabox transforms plastic bottles to help homeless animals, special children and elderly people, as well as the Ukrainian military. Currently, 13 such machines operate in Kyiv at the following addresses:

  • St. Illenko 71;
  • St. Protasiv Yar 15 (SOCAR gas station);
  • 43 Petra Hryhorenko Avenue (METRO);
  • St. Berkovetska 6d (GALAXY PARK, Lavina Mall);
  • St. Zdolbunivska 4 (SILPO);
  • 1c Tychyny Avenue (SILPO);
  • 36 Stepana Bandera Avenue (SOCAR gas station);
  • Sportivna square 1a, (GULLIVER shopping center);
  • School No. 207 ( 33A Lisovy Prospect);
  • School No. 25 ( Volodymyrska Street, 1);
  • Technical Lyceum of the Shevchenkiv District ( Shchuseva Street, 20);
  • Gymnasium No. 287 ( Chornobylska Street, 10B);
  • NVK No. 157 (Obolonsky prospect, 12c).

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in September 2022, the tenth Yapomogabox opened in Kyiv after a forced break.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, a petition appeared on the website of the Kyiv City Council to increase the number of containers for the separate collection of plastic, glass, paper, batteries and lamps of various types.
