Criminals mined more than 2,000 m3 of subsoil, which caused damage to the environment in the amount of 2.2 million hryvnias, the State Environmental Inspection of the Capital District reports on Facebook.
It is noted that the violations were discovered in October 2022 thanks to reports from the public. The intruders damaged more than 10 hectares of the reserve's land, in some places the depth of the pit reached 5 meters.
The message said that "Tserkovshchyna Tract" in the Holosiiv district of Kyiv was declared a landscape reserve of local importance in 2020. The total area of the facility reaches 130 hectares.
