In Kyiv, for the second day in a row, new temperature records are recorded

The maximum air temperature reached +35.7°С

In Kyiv on Monday, August 28, three new temperature records were recorded, including the average daily temperature exceeding the climatic norm by 9.3°C.

Such anomalous heat continues for the second day in a row, namely from Sunday, August 27, the Central Geophysical Observatory named after Boris Sreznevsky reports on Facebook.

The report stressed that the night from Monday to Tuesday was the warmest. So the temperature did not fall below 21.3°C. The previous record value of 1943 and 2022 has been exceeded by 1.4°C.

It is noted that the maximum air temperature in the afternoon reached +35.7°C, which is 0.6°C higher than the previous record in 1943.

The observatory noted that the average daily air temperature was the highest during the observation period and amounted to +27.8°C, which exceeded the previous record figure in 1943 by 1.4°C.

Recall that in Kiev on Sunday, August 27, three temperature records were recorded, including the average daily air temperature exceeding the climatic norm by 8.0°C.
