She was at the bottom of the ranking, in part because of her short term in office last year

Svitlana Hrynchuk, Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, was ranked 16th among ministers in terms of official income in the ministerial chair in 2024.

The infographic with the ranking of government officials was published by Slovo i Dilo. It was compiled on the basis of data from the declarations of members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for the previous year.

It became known that during the first 4 months in office (from September to December last year), Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk received UAH 466.5 thousand. According to the staffing table of the Ministry of Ecology for 2025, which EcoPolitic received at the request of EcoPolitic, the official salary of the head of the ministry is UAH 109 thousand 730. In the near future, we will publish an article about the salaries and responsibilities of Svitlana Hrynchuk's deputies.

It is worth noting that the rating data was affected by the fact that a significant number of government officials received their positions only in September (see notes on the infographic), so this also affected the total amounts.

The highest paid minister last year was the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov. He earned UAH 1.6 million. The lowest amount – UAH 90.5 thousand – was earned by the head of the new Ministry of National Unity, Oleksiy Chernyshov, as he returned to the Cabinet only in December.
