5 thousand people joined the initiative

In 10 regions of Ukraine and 32 countries of the world, the ecological campaign "Forests of Unity" took place, as part of which 1 million trees were planted.

The action took place within the framework of the global eco-initiative Greening of the Planet, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reports on Facebook.

The message noted that the participants of the action from all over the world started planting trees at the same time. It was possible to unite people thanks to the telebridge.

5 thousand people joined the initiative, some of them came with children and pets.

The action was organized by an employee of the "Greening of Ukraine" charity fund, the "Dobro.Diy" public organization, with the support of the Lviv Regional State Administration, the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, the State Agency for Forest Resources and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Earleir, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Ukraine the autumn campaign for planting forests has begun, during which seedlings with a closed root system from the selection and seed centers of Lviv, Khmelnytskyi and Ternopil regions will be actively used.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Vinnytsia, through the Ecomobile application, citizens can collect pluses in karma from handing in sorted garbage, with money from which the organizers will green the city.
