They probably also want to build a road in the forest

The Bilychansky forest, which is part of the Holosiivskyi National Nature Park, is being massively cut down in the forest of the village of Kotsiubynske, which borders Kyiv.

The trees are being cut down at such a pace that in a few years the forest may disappear completely, according to village head Serhiy Danish on Facebook.

"Look at what is happening in our country near the Atlant 2 residential complex. The National Park "protects" the forest like this. Another year, two, three, and there will be nothing to protect. The forest will be completely cut down!" he said.

Danish added that there is also information about the construction of a road in the forest.

"P law enforcement agencies, the committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, which supports the national park, come and see what is happening and please protect the forest as it is," urged Danish.

The struggle for Bilichan forest lasts about 15 years. IN In 2008, the then village head of Kotsyubynskyi, Vadym Sadovskyi, illegally provided about 100 hectares of forest, which belongs to the "Svyatoshinsky forest park farm" in Kyiv, for development.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Kyiv, the court overturned the decision of the Bucha City Council to increase the territory of Kotsiubynske village by 3000 hectares at the expense of a plot in the Bilychansky Forest, which is part of the Holosiivskyi National Nature Park.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, 15 land plots with a total area of 2.25 hectares were returned to the Holosiivskyi National Nature Park in Kyiv. In 2013, the Kotsiubyno village council illegally transferred them to private ownership.
