In Odesa region, a court sentenced the former head of a collective enterprise to 5 years in prison (suspended) for granting an illegal permit for the discharge of oil products, which caused environmental damage worth UAH 23 million.

According to the investigation, in 2024, the official in charge of the solid waste landfill in Safianivka community in Odesa region allowed the director of a transport company to dump liquid waste with a high content of oil products at the landfill.
