The materials were transferred to record the crimes of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine

In the Zhytomyr region, a plane shot down in March 2022 fell into the forest of the Shepetivka Military Forestry State Enterprise near the village of Denyshi, caused damage to the forestry in the amount of over 3 million hryvnias.

It damaged 652 trees on an area of ​​0.9 hectares, reports State Ecological Inspectorate of Ukraine  Online in Telegram.

As a result of hostilities, the aircraft of the Armed Forces damaged trees: hornbeam, oak, pine, birch, linden, spruce, maple, aspen, alder.

The inspection of the crash site was conducted by the State Ecological Inspectorate of Polissya District together with forestry workers.

"The materials of the case were transferred to the forestry enterprise, for further transfer to law enforcement agencies and recording of crimes of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine," the SEI notes.

We will remind, in the Luhansk region, Russian troops destroyed more than 17 thousand hectares of forest, causing damage to the environment in the amount of 38.3 billion hryvnias.

As EcoPoliticа reported earlier, in the Lviv region, environmental inspectors took samples on the territory where the Russian shells hit to set the amount of losses, caused to the natural environment.
