RES provides uninterrupted power supply even during fan or emergency power outages

In the hospital of the city of Zviagel, in the Zhytomyr region, the solar power plant generated 244 kWh of energy, which was enough for 20 hours of continuous operation of 11 ventilators.

The power of the SPP (32.4 kW) is not enough for the entire hospital, so the city is planning new capital investments to expand its capacities, reports the environmental protection organization "Ekoklub" on Facebook.

Eco-activists emphasized that, if necessary, the SES can fully provide electricity to five buildings of the medical facility, in particular, the maternity and resuscitation buildings.

Ecoclub expert Dmytro Sakaliuk noted that investments in the development of renewable energy sources are economically beneficial and technically feasible.

"Using the example of this object, we show communities that the payback of such projects is currently about 3.5 years. Having invested once, the community receives cheap electricity for 20 years. Even during fan or emergency shutdowns, objects operating thanks to RES , will be provided with an uninterrupted source of electricity," he said.

The authors added that the Zviagel community has a developed Local Energy Plan, which defines the energy development vector of the community for three years.

They said that soon the city council will vote on its updated version. It contains a separate section on the development and increase of "green" generation. It is noted that the local government generally supports the development of RES in the community.

In the message, it was emphasized that the project of installation of SES for this hospital is the first within the framework of the "Solar Aid For Ukraine" fundraising campaign. Eco-activists are now raising funds for the scaling up of renewable energy projects at critical infrastructure facilities.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, in Kyiv region, in Irpen, a solar plant with electricity conservation systems was opened on the roof of the "Mriya" lyceum, as part of the project 100 solar schools.
