Experts expressed their comments and suggestions for the implementation of the latest data collection systems

A working meeting was held in the Lviv region to establish air pollution monitoring stations in the region and amend the State Monitoring Program in the field of air protection for the period of 2021-2025.

This was reported by the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Lviv Regional State Administration on Facebook.

During the meeting, experts from the regional state administration and the Interdepartmental Air Monitoring Commission discussed how to improve systems that allow for real-time analysis of air pollution. Participants shared their experience and suggested ways to improve existing air monitoring methods.

They also presented materials on the basis of which the Monitoring Program will be amended. New requirements and proposals for the accuracy of measurements at observation points have been taken into account. They will allow for a detailed analysis of air pollution.

"The results of the discussion will become the basis for further actions of the Department of Ecology. It is planned that these measures will be aimed at reducing air pollution through an integrated approach and the involvement of all interested parties. We believe that with joint efforts we can make our air cleaner, our health better and our the future is brighter," said the deputy director of the department, Hanna Bashta.
