In one week, environmental violators compensated 2.9 million hryvnias of damages

In the Kyiv region, the communal enterprise "Combinat of Communal Enterprises of Vasylkov" pumped out groundwater worth 4.73 million hryvnias without permits.

This became the most high-profile violation of environmental protection legislation during the week from October 6 to 12, the State Environmental Inspection reports on Facebook.

It is noted that the eco-inspectors have sent a lawsuit to the court for damages.

The message added that the second large-scale violation was discovered in More than 1.6 million hryvnias in damages to the Vinnytsia region. For example, near the village of Kosanove, Haysyn district, black loggers destroyed 128 trees in the field protection forest strip. The case materials were sent to the police.

It is noted that eco-inspectors spent a week 128 control measures and made 225 protocols on administrative offenses. The total amount of fines imposed is 83 thousand hryvnias. 64 thousand hryvnias were charged to the State budget.

The press service emphasized that:

  • damages in the amount of 2.8 million hryvnias were calculated for violating the requirements of environmental protection legislation;
  • the total amount of submitted claims and lawsuits is 5.1 million hryvnias;
  • 2.9 million hryvnias in damages were collected voluntarily and forcibly.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in the Kyiv region, eco-inspectors calculated about 16.8 million UAH in damages for air pollution, in particular from the activities of the utility company "Irpinvodokanal" (12.3 million hryvnias) and LLC "Interagroinvest" (4.5 million hryvnias ).

As EcoPolitic previously reported, jeepers have set up racing tracks in nature reserves "Kozynskyi" and "Vasylkivskiy Karpaty" in the Kyiv region, which destroys their unique nature.
