According to "Kyivvodokanal", the quality of drinking water meets sanitary rules and regulations

In Kyiv, on the morning of Friday, October 7, residents of the Holosiiv district complained about the quality of tap water, which became red in color and oily to the touch.

As you know, such a phenomenon can occur when cleaning water pipes. However, the woman from Kyiv assured that no reports of such works had been received.

Kyivvodokanal reports, that water intake for the preparation of drinking water and its supply to the centralized water supply system of the city of Kyiv is carried out from 3 sources:

  • 30% – Dnipro;
  • 60% – Desna;
  • 10% – artesian springs.

The quality control of drinking water is carried out at the exit from treatment facilities, at artesian pumping stations and distribution water networks of the city.

Earleir, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Kyiv SaveDnipro conducted a study on evaluation of microdistricts according to ecological indicators, in particular, the quality of air, drinking water, the state of water resources, soils, the availability of green areas, and littering of territories.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, doctors in the Rivne region named the cities and towns in which drinking water quality of centralized water supply networks complies with chemical indicators of quality and safety and regions with regular non-compliance with them.
