Prosecutors of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Prosecutor's Office exposed the forester of one of the forestry in the Carpathian region, who, by prior agreement with a group of persons, committed illegal felling of trees for more than 3 million UAH.

This is reported by the Ivano-Frankivsk regional prosecutor's office.

During August – September 2022, the suspect, along with accomplices, cut down beeches, fir trees and fir trees in order to further implement them.

The specialized environmental prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit in the interests of the state for compensation for damage caused by a criminal offense.

The master of the forest is accused of abuse of office (part 2 of article 28, part 2 of article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of the Fifth Investigative Department of the Territorial Administration of the State Bureau of Investigation.

The other day, EcoPolitic reported that in Transcarpathia 4 officials of the forestry sector were injured damage to the environment for 11 million hryvnias.
