It is extremely important to dispose of such waste properly

In March, residents of the Lviv territorial community will be able to hand over batteries, fluorescent lamps and mercury thermometers for safe disposal free of charge to a special EcoBus that will run in the community.

This was reported by the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Lviv Regional State Administration.

Officials said that the route of the Ecobus was laid through all districts of Lviv. It will also visit Vynnyky, Bryukhovychi, and Rudne. The department reminded that parking lots have recently been added in Ryasne-Ruske, Zashkiv, Lysynychi, and Dubliany.

The eco-bus will run from Thursday to Saturday. It will be on duty for 3 hours at each of the route points: either from 10:00 to 13:00 or from 14:00 to 17:00.

Hazardous waste (not damaged) is collected free of charge from community residents in safe containers in the following quantities

  • fluorescent lamps – up to 10 pcs;
  • thermometers – up to 5 pcs;
