They reminded about the list of documents that the implementers must have

Since the end of November 2024, special groups of representatives of the State Environmental Inspectorate, police and local authorities have identified 142 violations during the harvesting and sale of conifers.

This was reported by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine.

Among the 142 violations:

  • 24 – arbitrary cutting;
  • 11 – in order of procurement;
  • 107 – violations in places of implementation.

According to the results of inspections, eco-inspectors drew up 137 protocols, 97 of them were handed over to judicial authorities, and 40 people were brought to administrative responsibility.

Specialists reminded Ukrainians that it is possible to buy a Christmas tree at specialized sales points. They also gave a list of documents that entrepreneurs who transport and sell Christmas trees must have:

  • forestry invoice;
  • waybill;
  • certificate of radiation examination of trees;
  • permission to trade with a wet seal.

Also, every tree must have an electronic chip.

EcoPolitic previously talked about how to choose a Christmas tree without harming nature, where it is legal to buy a Christmas tree in Ukraine, how to understand that a Christmas tree has been cut down legally, and what punishment awaits those who cut down the tree themselves.
