Each solar panel has a power of 380 watts

The German government has donated 900 solar panels to the Kherson community to be installed at one of the facilities of the Kherson Vodokanal utility.

This will ensure a stable water supply in the face of a total power outage, the Kherson City Military Administration reports.

It is noted that the assistance was received within the framework of the technical assistance project "International Platform for Strengthening Utility Partnerships in the Water Sector" implemented by the German Society for International Cooperation on behalf of the German government.

The report said that each solar panel has a capacity of 380 watts.

"We thank international donors for equipping utility companies with solar energy," the press service emphasized.

This is not the first such aid to the community from Germany. Thus, in November 2023, the German photovoltaic company SMA handed over more than 160 new and used humanitarian solar panels and 40 new inverters for the backup power supply of one of the Kherson Water Canal facilities.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in the Kherson region, rescuers received solar panels, to ensure the operation of unbreakable points in the event of a lack of electricity.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Ivano-Frankivsk region in the Dolyna Territorial Community, Vodokanal avoided the release of 3.17 tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere in two months thanks to the solar power plant.
