The former director of the Baranivka branch of the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" Yuriy Yurchuk used his official position to develop his own woodworking business.
This information was published by the StopCor portal with reference to the Whistleblower channel.
Investigators claim that this former head during his tenure:
- He appropriated state resources for a woodworking enterprise owned by his family.
- He ran his private business simply from the office of the state enterprise "Forests of Ukraine".
- He distributed state property to "his people". According to "Whistleblower", 16,000 ha of forest for a nominal fee was leased by "Forest Polissya" LLC, which is managed by the accountant of the Yurchuk-Rusalovska family.
- For only 54 hryvnias per month, the ex-director of the Baraniv branch handed over a wood processing complex worth 50 million hryvnias to the aforementioned company. It includes workshops of 1,600 m², industrial equipment and transport.
"And that's not all. Even the driver of his family was issued by this "genius" as a FOP, say the investigators.
The journalists also posted a video of the ex-forester's Volkswagen parked on a pedestrian crossing. The car has "pontificating" license plates, which, according to the "Whistleblower", cost 96 thousand UAH.
As EcoPolitic previously reported, according to the Open Forest portal, the head of the Berehove Forestry branch of the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" Yaroslav Oliynyk organized a scheme of illegal logging and trade in valuable wood, which brings him hundreds of thousands of hryvnias.
