The Molodi 6 condominium in Lutsk will undergo comprehensive energy modernization costing nearly UAH 13 million. For the first time, the Decarbonization Fund of Ukraine will join the Energy Efficiency Fund to jointly implement such a project.
According to the Energy Efficiency Fund, an agreement was signed to provide a loan to the condominium.
Comprehensive energy saving project
It is reported that to increase energy efficiency, the facade and roof of the building will be insulated and the exterior doors will be replaced. After that, the total reduction in utility costs is expected to be about UAH 682,000. The amount was calculated after conducting an energy audit of the building.
Additional financial opportunities
The Molodi 6 condominium association is participating in the Energodim program, under which the Energy Efficiency Fund will finance 30% of the project cost. The remaining 70% will be provided by the condominium association itself, using a loan from the Decarbonization Fund. This is the first time that these two state funds have joined forces for an energy project in a residential building.
"Thanks to our partners, Ukrainians are getting even more tools to implement energy-efficient solutions. There is no point in postponing energy modernization — now is the time to act," says Yegor Farenyuk, director of the Energy Efficiency Fund.
