The funds raised for it will be directed to the creation of a system for the collection and processing of secondary raw materials in Pereyaslav and on the territory of the Hryhoriy Skovoroda University campus

The Total Ecologization of Pereiaslav (TEMP) project, launched as part of the all-Ukrainian Dream Economy initiative, has been running in Pereiaslav since October 5, 2023. Its activists have already accumulated 747 kg of recyclable materials, for which they have earned 3050.5 UAH.

This was reported by the Hryhorii Skovoroda University in Pereiaslav, whose teacher Maryna Kalashnyk initiated the project.

During the first collection period, students and conscious residents of the city collected:

  • PET and HDPE bottles – 283 kg.
  • cardboard – 186 kg.
  • books/magazines – 139 kg.
  • office paper – 133 kg.
  • aluminum cans – 6 kg.

Activists transferred all the funds for the recycled materials to the monobank of the TEMP project. They will be used to install specialized tanks for sorting garbage in the city of Pereyaslav. The TEMP team calls on all concerned residents of the city and campus to join the project by supporting it financially or by bringing sorted garbage.

"We will not stop there! We invite everyone to join our project to make Pereyaslav and the surroundings of our native university even cleaner and more ecological," urged Maryna Kalashnyk.

In May, EcoPolitic told how volunteers of the "Plastic Saves Life" project "transformed" bottle caps into 3 drones and an ambulance for the Armed Forces.
