Each person can hand in 10 fluorescent lamps, 5 thermometers and 1 kg of batteries for free

In Lviv, in October 2023, residents will be able to pass used fluorescent lamps, thermometers containing mercury, and batteries to the mobile hazardous waste collection point "ecobus".

The parking schedule was published on the website of the state enterprise Bodnarivka.

It is noted that the point will work every Friday and every Saturday at 25 locations of the Lviv City Territorial Community.

Ecobus accepts undamaged:

  • spent fluorescent lamps – up to 10 pcs.;
  • thermometers – up to 5 pcs.;
  • batteries – up to 1 kg.

"Acceptance is carried out in the manufacturer's packaging or other safe containers," the message emphasized.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, residents of Lviv are urged to take bulky waste (defective household appliances, old furniture, construction waste) to the station for receiving such waste, which is located at Zhovkivska Street, 18, and not just leave it the sky.
