As of 8:00 a.m. on June 10, after a large-scale shelling at night and in the morning, low levels of air pollution were recorded at most stationary monitoring points in Kyiv, but they were locally elevated in the Darnytskyi district.
This was reported by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine.
In other areas of the city, the level of air pollution is low. All indicators in these areas are significantly lower than the maximum permissible concentrations. The radiation background is stable and ranges from 0.099-0.119 μSv/h.
The reason for the deterioration in air quality was fires in the forest and non-residential areas.
The Kyiv City Council, citing the Department of Environmental Protection and Climate Change Adaptation of the Kyiv City State Administration, reported that 5 stationary air monitoring stations show very low levels of pollution, and one shows low levels. The average level of pollution was recorded at only one station at 26 Architect Verbytskoho Street in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv.
As of 12:00, the department's map for real-time air quality monitoring looks like this:

Therefore, the Ministry of Environment recommended that until the situation stabilizes, people should limit their time outside and not ventilate their rooms during the daytime. This is especially important for people with respiratory diseases, allergies, and children.
Recently, EcoPolitics reported that the number of green areas in Kyiv has increased, and gave the addresses of locations where new mini-gardens have appeared.
