Residents can dispose of waste that cannot be thrown away in a regular trash can free of charge

In a number of Ukrainian cities, hazardous waste is collected by an eco-bus, a branded vehicle where people can drop off batteries and expired medicines. However, please note that the list of items eligible for disposal may vary depending on the region.

Lviv and the city community

Here, the eco-bus will accept waste from Thursday to Saturday. According to the schedule on the Lviv City Council website, the vehicle will be parked at various locations from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. In addition to Lviv itself, hazardous waste can be disposed of in March in such settlements as Vynnyky, Dublyany, Bryukhovychi, Rudno, Lysynychi, Ryasno-Ruske, and Zashkiv.

Residents can hand over up to 10 batteries, up to 10 mercury lamps, and up to 5 mercury thermometers for disposal. They must be handed over undamaged and in safe containers.
