Ukraine ranks third in terms of the number of photos uploaded among the 57 countries participating in the contest

The annual Wiki Loves Earth photo contest has announced its winners. As usual, 10 photos won in the Ukrainian section.

A total of 124 photographers took part in the contest, uploading over 7,400 photos taken in Ukraine's protected areas. They show animals in their natural habitat and nature itself — picturesque and untouched.

This is a grey hare in Halych Botanical Garden, also in Ternopil region. The animal was photographed among medicinal plants by Lyubomyr Matviiv.

The diverse grasslands of Donetsk region are the focal point of another winning photo. Oleksandr Ryzhkov captured a vibrant sunset in the Hektova Balka Botanical Reserve.

The struggle between a grass snake and a gull over a catch is shown in Oleg Martsun's photo. The action took place in the Tuzlivski Limbany National Park in Odesa region.
