The platform offers over 100 funding options for implementing sustainable development projects

From grants to credit lines and investments, Ukraine has created a "Green Platform" where you can find resources for energy-efficient projects or renewable energy development.

According to the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture, the online platform offers financing options for businesses of various sizes, communities, condominiums, as well as municipal and state-owned enterprises.

The Green Platform features programs that will enable the implementation of projects in the following areas:

  • improving energy efficiency of buildings, particularly through modernization of heating systems;
  • modernization of water supply networks;
  • development of alternative energy from renewable sources;
  • development of the "clean" transportation sector;
  • implementation of greening projects;
  • waste management.

Individual approach

The platform's internal algorithm is designed to make it easier for those seeking financing to navigate the available offers. In particular, you can fill out a short questionnaire. Based on this information, the catalog will suggest the most relevant programs. Depending on the type and scale of the project, as well as the status of the person seeking funding, these may include preferential loans, equipment leasing, ESCO financing, etc.

The ministry emphasizes that the catalog is constantly being updated with new options.

"The green transformation of the economy is impossible without access to financing. We are constantly working to find new opportunities for businesses and public associations that are focused on sustainable development," said Andriy Telyupa, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine.

Ukraine has also launched a program to make "green" loans more affordable. EcoPolitics has previously reported on its terms and conditions.
