DTEK's investments in construction amount to EUR 125 million

DTEK has launched 200 MW of energy storage facilities in partnership with Fluence, a US-based global leader in energy storage.

The DTEK Group has connected six new energy storage facilities to the Ukrainian power grid, each with a capacity of 20 to 50 MW. The energy storage facilities were installed in the Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

The DTEK project can store 400 MWh of electricity, which is enough to provide power to 600,000 Ukrainian homes for two hours. The investment will help reduce the risk of accidents and power outages, especially in the event of possible damage to maneuverable generation facilities due to shelling.

The project was implemented in six months, from March to August 2025, which is much faster than expected. DTEK reports that construction proceeded faster due to the need to complete the project before the onset of the autumn-winter period.

Experts report that energy storage systems will provide Ukraine's power grid with additional resilience and stability. The project also promotes the development of green energy and ensures the decentralization of Ukraine's power grid.
