A private firm has been damaging the environment for years and caused damage of UAH 2.2 million

Prosecutors obtained compensation

The private enterprise "Olexandria-ECO 2019", which was engaged in the disposal of household waste, was found guilty by the court of polluting groundwater and soil with leachate from the landfill, as well as littering a plot of land with an area of ​​more than 10,000 square meters. m.

This was reported by the press service of the Kirovohrad Regional Prosecutor's Office.

In 2019-2021, this company did not provide the landfill in Oleksandria with a groundwater protection system, which is why the leachate from it got into the soil and groundwater without hindrance.

In addition, PE "Olexandria-ECO 2019" stored waste on a site adjacent to the landfill with an area of ​​10,144 square meters. m. Prosecutors qualified these actions as littering the land plot.

The Commercial Court of the Kirovohrad Region satisfied the claim of the prosecutors of the Oleksandriysk District Prosecutor's Office and decided to collect damages from the company in the total amount of UAH 2.2 million for the pollution of underground water and littering of the land plot.
