Previously, it had already covered the eastern and north-eastern regions of Ukraine

On Tuesday and Wednesday, October 1 and 2, forecasters predict the spread of a dust storm from the Caspian Sea to the Kyiv region and the capital.

This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine with reference to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

According to preliminary forecasts, increased air pollution will remain until Friday, when the direction of the wind in Ukraine will change to the south and west.

The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center also said that as of 3:00 p.m. on September 30, dust from the Caspian Sea began to spread to the territory of Kyiv Oblast, Zhytomyr Oblast and the north of Vinnytsia Oblast from the east. Not only it, but also the smoke that came from the fires in the north is aimed at the Kyiv region.

"Therefore, both factors of pollution are rapidly spreading to the Kyiv region, where they will settle and remain for several more days," forecasters noted.

They also showed a satellite image showing the dust in bright pink.
