The court referred the case of businessmen who illegally took possession of land near Kyiv for more than 9 million UAH

They face up to 12 years in prison

Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) completed a pre-trial investigation of a land transaction in Vyshgorod district near Kyiv worth more than 9 million UAH and sent an indictment to the court.

This was reported by the SBI.

The criminal scheme was invented and implemented by a resident of the Kyiv region together with his brother, who is a land surveyor engineer. They decided to appropriate forest land in a picturesque place near the river.

The brother produced forged documents for the transfer of 1.3 hectares of land of the state forestry to private ownership. For this, the dealers used the personal data of 15 dummies.

The attackers also received an order from the district state administration and the decision of the village council to transfer land to private ownership. In this they were assisted by the state registrar of the State Registration Department of one of the village councils.

The court seized the illegally seized land plots and property of the suspects, the total value of which is more than UAH 20 million. Currently, the issue of returning land plots to state ownership is being resolved.

The figures in the case are accused of fraud, legalization of property, forgery and use of forged documents as part of a criminal group (part 2, 3 of article 27, part 2 of article 28, part 4 of article 190, part 2, Article 27, Part 2, Part 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the articles provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to 12 years.
