Among them are botanical monuments, landscape reserves and protected tracts

On May 16, the Kyiv Regional Council created 9 new nature reserve sites: "Plunets", "Yasenevyi Hai", "Blue Necklace", "Brandushka", "Pivnyky", "Hrabova Balka", "Vovche Bagno", "Mezhiostrov", "Sonne Uzlis".

The relevant decisions are posted on the website of the Kyiv Regional Council.

The newly created protected areas include:

  1. The botanical natural monument of local importance "Plaunets" with an area of ​​0.4 ha is a valuable natural complex where the population of floodplain Plaunets (Lycopodiella inundata) is growing.
  2. The botanical monument of nature of local importance "Yasenevy Gai" with an area of ​​1.42 hectares is a valuable natural complex where the population of common snowdrop (Galanthus nivalis) is growing.
  3. The landscape reserve of local importance "Pivniki" with an area of ​​1.2 hectares is a valuable natural complex, where the population of the Siberian rooster (Iris sibirica L.) is growing.
  4. The landscape reserve of local importance "Blue Necklace" with an area of ​​16.28 hectares is a valuable natural complex where the population of Stipa capillata L. is growing.
  5. The landscape reserve of local importance "Brandushka" with an area of ​​2.1 ha is a valuable natural complex, which is a slope where the populations of Stipa capillata L. and variegated brandushka (Colchicum bulbocodium versicolor syn. Bulbocodium versicolor) grow.
  6. The "Wolf Swamp" protected tract with an area of ​​0.5 ha is a valuable natural complex where the population of Diphasiástrum complanátum grows.
  7. The "Hrabova Balka" botanical natural monument with an area of ​​26 hectares is a valuable natural complex, where the population of common snowdrop (Galanthus nivalis) is growing.
  8. The 0.4-hectare protected tract "Mezhiostriv" is a valuable natural complex, where populations of hellebore (Epipactis helleborine), two-leaved lovage (Platanthera bifolia) and common nestling (Neottia nidus-avis) grow.
  9. The 0.6-hectare protected tract "Sonne Uzlissya" is a valuable natural complex where the population of the blackened nightshade (Pulsatilla nigricans) is growing.

All the mentioned plants are listed in the Red Book of Ukraine.
