It became known how many electric cars Ukrainians bought in March

In March 2024, more than 4.4 thousand battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) were added to the Ukrainian car fleet. Compared to March 2023, the demand for electric vehicles increased 2.3 times.

This is reported by Ukravtoprom on Telegram.

It is noted that the bulk of registered electric vehicles were passenger cars – 4337 units. There were 900 new cars and 3437 used ones.

The TOP-5 new electric vehicles included:

  1. VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 – 207 units;
  2. BYD Song Plus – 112 units;
  3. HONDA eNS1 – 79 units;
  4. HONDA M-NV – 70 units;
  5. NISSAN Ariya – 68 units.

TOP-5 used electric cars registered for the first time in Ukraine:

  1. NISSAN Leaf – 546 units;
  2. TESLA Model 3 – 456 units;
  3. TESLA Model Y – 349 units;
  4. VOLKSWAGEN e-Golf – 246 units;
  5. TESLA Model S – 192 units

As EcoPolitic previously reported, a report by the research company Rho Motion showed that in 2023 worldwide sales of fully electric and hybrid cars increased by 31% and reached 13.6 million.
