Oleksandra Sladkova headed the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources during 2019-2023

Oleksandra Sladkova, deputy director of the Economic Development Department of the Lviv City Council, was suspected of money laundering while cleaning the lake.

This was reported by the Fourth Studio, citing its own sources and city council member Ihor Zinkevych.

"The information about Oleksandra Sladkova's suspicion was also confirmed by public activists who defend the interests of green zones in Lviv. This information was also confirmed to us by law enforcement agencies," the article says.

It is noted that the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office is currently not commenting on this situation.

"It is known from our own sources that last week one of the officials of the Lviv city council was charged with suspicion of misappropriation of funds for the cleaning of the lake in Lviv," Zinkevich wrote.

He added that the prosecutor's office has not reported this event for several days.

According to the information of the Fourth Studio, it is about Oleksandra Sladkova, who during the years 2019-2023 headed Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Lviv City Council. In March 2023, she moved to the position of deputy director of the Department of Economic Development and coordinated projects related to the implementation of green technologies.

The publication noted that in her previous position, she purchased low-quality trees for planting on city streets. Sladkova also got into a language scandal after speaking in Russian in front of children in Lviv.

The article suggested that Lviv is waiting for the return of Mayor Andriy Sadovoy from Great Britain and his participation in resolving the situation.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in the Lviv region, the Security Service of Ukraine detained a deputy of one of the city councils – the head of the forest farm during the illegal sale of wood for personal enrichment.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the family of the scandalous Lviv businessman Igor Hrynyvych, who is under investigation, found an illegal mansion on 600 m2 with a swimming pool in the middle of the forest, which is partly located on protected lands.
