In the village of Horenka, in the Bucha district of Kyiv region, an 11 kW solar power plant has been installed on the roof of the Kazka kindergarten.
The solar power plant is to be installed by the end of February, the Gostomel village military administration reports on Telegram.
It is noted that on January 25, the education department, representatives of the international charity organization arche noVa in Ukraine, and ATMOSPHERE ENGINEERING LLC signed a trilateral agreement on the installation of solar panels.
"Work on the installation and connection of solar panels in the kindergarten will be completed within a month," the Gostomel SBA said.
It is noted that the project is being implemented with funds from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
About 70 children attend the kindergarten. It also employs 20 people.
Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that Ukraine has selected 18 kindergartens that won the Solar Energy for Kids competition to be equipped with solar systems for uninterrupted hot water supply throughout the year. One of the winners is the Sonechko kindergarten No. 5 in Fastiv, Kyiv region.
