The State Environmental Inspectorate in Lviv Region suffered a large-scale cyberattack on the services of the Parkoviy data center on January 25, which led to serious problems in office work.

Among other things, the agency lost all appeals from January 20 to 28, 2024, reports the State Environmental Inspectorate in Lviv region in Facebook.

It is noted that as a result of the cyberattack, ecoinspectors had limited access to the System of electronic interaction of executive authorities and the Automated Document Management System from January 25 to 29.

“This led to serious problems in record keeping, including the inability to receive input documents and send original documents,” the press service said.

The message called on Ukrainians to duplicate all sent correspondence for the period from January 20 to January 28, 2024.

“This is necessary to restore the work process and ensure the reliability of the exchange of information between the inspectorate and citizens and authorities,” the press service explained.

As is known, on January 25, a large-scale cyber attack was also carried out on the data centers of Naftogaz of Ukraine and Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine LLC.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that Minister of Environment Protection and Natural Resources Ruslan Strilets stated that reform of the State Environmental Inspectorate is one of the priorities for 2024.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the website of the Ministry of Environmental Protection was available less than 43% of the time during October 2022 alone, that is, was not working 57% of the time.
