Air quality has significantly deteriorated in 10 Ukrainian communities

In Chernivtsi, one of the monitoring posts recorded a harmful level of dust, and 2 – harmful for sensitive groups

On the morning of Tuesday, January 30, in 10 cities and towns of Ukraine, public air quality monitoring stations recorded harmful levels of PM2.5, which are harmful to sensitive groups.

The highest levels of pollution were recorded in Chernivtsi (AQI 151) and Kryvyi Rih (156), according to the SaveEcoBot online air quality map.

In Chernivtsi, a harmful level of dust was recorded at 89 Nezalezhnosti Avenue, and at 9A Vynnychenko Street and 15 Vorobkevych Street – harmful to sensitive groups.

In Kryvyi Rih, the highest pollution was recorded at the monitoring station at 5 Ivan Avramenko Street. And the harmful level of dust in the air for sensitive groups was recorded at 17 Stepan Tilha Street (AQI 103).

In addition, the harmful level for sensitive groups was recorded in:

  • Zaporizhzhia (Tbiliska St., 27A) – 136;
  • Cherkassy (35/1 Anatoliya Lupinosa St.) – 117;
  • Kyiv (10 Mykoly Shepeleva St. and 65 Yevheniya Kharchenko St.) – 129 and 144;
  • Brovarakh (Stepana Bandera St., 24) – 137;
  • Mali Dmytrovychi village in Kyiv region (Vasylkivska St.) – 147;
  • Khlepcha village in Kyiv region (Zoryana St.) – 112;
  • Khmelnytskyi (Torfyana St., 13) – 115;
  • Tomashpili village in Vinnytsia region (Taras Shevchenko Square, 1) – 134.
