Residents of Hlobyno, Poltava Oblast, complain about large-scale pollution of fields, groundwater, and their gardens with waste from a local sugar factory.

The waste also has a strong unpleasant odor, according to the Telegram channel OK Kremenchuk.

It is noted that the community residents appealed to a number of authorities, but their appeals were ignored.

"There is a real environmental disaster in Globyn," the report says.

The community also turned to the head of the Kremenchug district military administration, Oleg Lednik.

"When will the ecocide in the Kremenchuk district stop? First, Psel was poisoned, now this is it. Is Lednik "in fate" with Globin pig farmers and sugar farmers?" – noted in "OK Kremenchuk".

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Poltava Oblast in July, an emergency of man-made nature occurred, namely, pollution of the Psel River with pig feces. In the river in the area of pollution about 35 km, there was a mass plague of fish, and the trees on the banks began to dry.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Poltava, in the Yar microdistrict, one of the city's main sewer collectors collapsed, resulting in a 200-meter-long sinkhole with sewage. At least half a year is needed to repair the accident site, but currently there is no such funding.
