The violator faces a fine of 1-4 thousand tax-free minimum incomes

In Cherkasy region, prosecutors have sent to court an indictment against the director of a company in Zolotonosha district, who allowed the dumping of biological waste on agricultural land.

The company is engaged in cattle breeding and meat production, according to the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office.

It is noted that the contaminated land belongs to the state form of ownership and is not adapted for the disposal of biological waste.

"By his actions, the director of the company created a danger for the environment," the press service emphasized.

The message said that the director of the enterprise will be tried under Part 1 of Article 239 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the police together with the employees of the Security Service of Ukraine.

"If proven guilty, the offender faces punishment in the form of a fine from one to four thousand non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens or deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years," the press service emphasized.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Zhytomyr region, the court ordered a resident of Korosten district to pay 1.1 million hryvnias for contamination of 0.8 hectares of communal land with chemicals. The violator set up a warehouse of metal and plastic containers from waste chemical substances in his own yard and poured the remains of harmful substances onto communal land.

As EcoPolitics previously reported, the court ordered an entrepreneur from Letychev, Khmelnytskyi to pay 20,400 hryvnias fine for the illegal production of charcoal on farm land.
