In Lviv, in December, citizens will be able to hand over used fluorescent lamps, thermometers containing mercury, and batteries to a mobile hazardous waste collection point called an eco-bus.
The parking schedule was published on the Facebook page of the Green City community.
It is noted that the station will operate at 25 locations in the Lviv city territorial community. Community residents will be able to hand over waste in safe containers for free in any quantity:
- spent fluorescent lamps – up to 10 pcs.;
- thermometers – up to 5 pcs.;
- batteries – up to 1 kg.
"Mobile stations travel around the city and collect harmful waste so that it does not enter the ecological environment, thereby creating potential sources of danger for you and me," the message said, also emphasizing the importance of sorting organics.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, the 11th grade student of the Lviv Law Gymnasium won a "gold" medal and a special prize from Norton University of Cambodia at the international innovation show INOVA, Croatia, for the development of the Ecobuy application. This program optimizes the waste sorting process and increases the level of environmental awareness of users.
