In Volyn, eco-inspectors discovered illegal sand mining in Dubivsk community for more than 86.1 million hryvnias and Lublynetsk community for 23.1 million.
Sand was mined with the help of excavators without any permits, the State Environmental Inspection in the Volyn region reports on Facebook.
It is noted that the sand belongs to useful local values. Both quarries were found in the Kovel district.
Eco-inspectors called the investigative team of the local police department to the scene. After all, the violation has criminal characteristics.
The message added that employees of the State Inspectorate handed over survey materials and calculations of the amount of damage to law enforcement agencies.
"Nadra is exclusively the property of the people of Ukraine and is provided for use on the basis of special permits," the press service emphasized.
Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Transcarpathia, the company organized illegal mining of sand-gravel mixture instead of setting up a pond for fish breeding. The court ordered the violators to compensate almost 6.7 million hryvnias in damages.
As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Transcarpathia near Uzhhorod, extraction of 3,690 m3 of loam was discovered on agricultural land.Damage from such activity reached 3.6 million hryvnias.
