The Ecological Committee's agenda for November 15 has appeared

People's deputies will consider bills on the use of land occupied by the Kakhovka reservoir and land tax for nature reserves

On Wednesday, November 15, a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management will be held in videoconference mode at 12:00.

The Ecocommittee should submit its proposals to:

  • bills No. 10155 and 10155-1 “On amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On topographic, geodetic and cartographic activities” on the development of modern geoinformation resources in the field of topographic, geodetic and cartographic activities”;
  • bill No. 10175 "On amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses and the Criminal Code of Ukraine on strengthening liability for violation of fire and technogenic safety requirements";
  • Bill No. 10147 “On the safety and health of workers at work”;
  • bill No. 10148 “On amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine on liability for violation of legislative requirements on the safety and health of workers at work”;
  • bill No. 10135 "On amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine regarding urgent measures to prevent misuse of lands of the Kakhovka Reservoir" and No. 10135-1 "On amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine regarding the use of lands occupied by the Kakhovka Reservoir";
  • bill No. 10198 "On amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine regarding the taxation of lands of the natural reserve fund with land tax";
  • draft law No. 10036 "On amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the physical protection of nuclear installations, nuclear materials, radioactive waste, and other sources of ionizing radiation" regarding the powers of the state regulatory body for nuclear and radiation safety."

People's deputies will also consider changes to the work plan of the eco-committee for the tenth session of the Verkhovna Rada of the ninth convocation.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the European Commission assessed the country's progress in the field of environmental protection and climate change at "2" on a five-point scale – "a certain level". Some of the environmental community considers such progress insufficient, and some consider it a failure.
